Dollar Tree and Family Dollar recognized by the American Heart Association for building a culture of health and well-being

Dollar Tree and Family Dollar earned national Gold-level designation on the American Heart Association's 2023 Workforce Well-being Scorecard™.

The scorecard measures the quality of workforce health and well-being programs and efforts to foster a company culture of health best practices.

Dollar Tree and Family Dollar focused on a number of associate well-being initiatives contributing to its national Gold recognition, including:

  • Implemented new benefits programs and managed a wide variety of health and well-being initiatives aimed at improving physical, mental, social and financial well-being.
  • Hosted monthly wellness events aimed at improving physical, mental, social and financial well-being.
  • Nearly tripled registration in its tobacco cessation program.

The scorecard brings together the latest research and insights from industry experts to help business leaders build a science-backed, employee-centric culture of health and well-being. The tool allows employers to evaluate how their policies and procedures compare to leading best practices in areas such as mental health support, addressing burnout, financial well-being, health equity considerations and more.
