Dollar Tree Third Quarter Comparable-Store Sales Increase 6.5%

CHESAPEAKE, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Dollar Tree, Inc. (NASDAQ:DLTR), the nation's leading operator of discount variety stores selling everything for $1 or less, reported consolidated net sales of $1.25 billion for the quarter ended October 31, 2009 ("third quarter"), a 12.1% increase compared to the $1.11 billion reported for the quarter ended November 1, 2008. Comparable-store sales for the third quarter increased 6.5% on top of a 6.2% increase reported for the third quarter last year.
